Day 1: Arrive in Delhi
On your arrival at the Delhi International airport you will be greeted by our agent who would be in your service up till your stay in Delhi. From the airport you would be escorted to the hotel where you can relieve yourself from jet lag. If time allows you would be driven around the bustling markets to have a look into the lifestyle of the locals.
Day 2: In Delhi
This morning you will explore the heart of India beginning from Old Delhi visiting the largest mosque in India- Jama Masjid and the Red Fort which was the residence of rulers of Mughal dynasty. A walk through the narrow lanes of Chandni Chowk will expose you to various street delicacies, extremely popular in Delhi. Your sightseeing tour also will include places like Qutub Minar and Humayun’s Tomb which till today carry the Mughal legacy.
Day 3. Delhi - Samode (240 Kms)
This morning you will depart for a majestic town of Samode where a gorgeous palace hotel would be your abode. After freshening up explore the hotel first and later take a stroll through the Samode village and its markets.
Day 4. Samode - Nawalgarh (120 Kms)
On this day enjoy a half day tour of the capital city of Jaipur. Ascend the formidable Amer Fort on an elephant back and explore the fort comprising the Sheesh Mahal and other places inside the fort. Also visit the other architectural marvels of the city like the Hawa Mahal and Jantar Mantar. Later drive to Nawalgarh situated at the heart of Shekhawati. On arrival you would be transferred to the hotel for a comfortable stay.
Day 5. Nawalgarh - Mandawa (35 Kms)
Explore the surroundings of Nawalgarh, this morning. Visit the archaic Havelis like Roop Niwas Palace, Poddar haveli and Morarka Haveli adorned with Shekawati style paintings and inlaid decorative work. Later on proceed for a drive to Mandawa, where you can revisit Rajasthan's rich heritage and culture.
Day 6. Mandawa - Bikaner (190 Kms)
The rustic Mandawa village is dotted with magnificent mansions or havelis. Appreciate the stories that these havelis speak standing through the ravages of time. Visit the open art gallery displaying the Shekhawati art appealing your aesthetic sense. Followed by the sightseeing depart for your next destination that is Bikaner.
Day 7. Bikaner
The desert town of Bikaner amidst the Thar Desert gives you an idea about the desert people and their lives. The city home to several tourist attractions like the massive Junagarh Fort constructed in red sandstone is a remarkable piece of history. The Lalgarh palace and museum is an ideal place to peep into the past of the city. You will also visit the Deshnoke temple popular for the innumerable rats that reside in the temple premises.
Day 8. Bikaner - Jaisalmer (333 Kms)
This morning you will be chauffeured to the Golden city of Rajasthan visiting the Pokhran Fort enroute. Pokhran is well known in the scientific history of India as this is the site chosen by Govt of India for its first successful nuclear test. On arrival at Jaisalmer you will be transferred to a fine heritage hotel for your comfortable stay.
Day 9. Jaisalmer
This morning zoom through this desert city and visit the places that draw tourists from all over the globe. The impressive Sonar fort is the only habitable fort in India and will take back you in time. You would be amazed to see the intricately carved Jain Temples which speak high of the artistic skills of the people of bygone era. The ornate havelis of Jaisalmer, like Patwaon ki haveli, are also a popular tourist attraction of the city.
Day 10. Jaisalmer
In Jaisalmer, you will find the most picturesque dunes. Dedicate your day to desert safari visiting the Sam Sand dunes. Get the real feel of the desert riding on the camel back through the crescent shaped dunes. In the evening you can even enjoy camp fire with traditional dance and musical performances in the backdrop of desert.
Day 11. Jaisalmer - Jodhpur (290 Kms)
This morning you would be driven to Jodhpur. Enjoy your drive though the rustic and desert landscapes of Rajasthan. On arrival you would be escorted to the hotel where Evening free for leisure activities.
Day 12. Jodhpur - Ghanerao (145 Kms)
This morning embark to explore the walled city of Jodhpur and get familiar with the city. The majestic Mehrangarh Fort is the jewel of the city and requires mandatory visit due to its grandeur. Situated on a rocky hilltop, the fort covers an expansive area and offers panoramic view of the city. A few kilometers from the fort is the Jaswant Thada, a beautiful monument constructed in white marble. The cenotaphs of Mandore, spectacular Ummaid Bhawan Palace and Ghanta Ghar are few more places that you will look forward to. Later depart for Ghanerao from Jodhpur.
Day 13. Ghanerao - Ranakpur (115 Kms)
This morning take an excursion to Kumbhalgarh. The place is home to a gorgeous fort known as Kumbhalgarh Fort where words fall short for the description. The vast complex, huge gates, lofty balconies are all an evidence of brilliant architectural engineering of the Rajputs. Later resume your drive to Ranakpur.
Day 14. Ranakpur - Udaipur (90 Kms)
In the morning, you will visit the famous Ranakpur Jain temples which are known for elaborate carvings in the white marble structure and are an example of the artistic excellence. Depart for the romantic city of Udaipur, after sightseeing in Ranakpur. Upon arrival you will be dropped at a well known luxury hotel, where rest of the day is free for your independent activities.
Day 15. Udaipur - Deogarh (135 Kms)
Udaipur offers natural beauty with a touch of history which draws several tourists from across the seas to this city. The exquisite City Palace which is largest in Rajasthan, resting on the banks of Lake Pichola is the site that will lure your heart. The Palace is largest in Rajasthan and is adorned with beautiful paintings, frescos and inlaid glass work which is quite amusing. The 17th century Jagdish temple, Saheliyo Ki Bari, Fatehsagar Lake and the Eklingji temple are few other places popular among tourists in Udaipur. Proceed for Deogarh after the magical experience in Udaipur.
Day 16. Deogarh - Jaipur - Kanota (290 Kms)
This morning explore this picturesque town of Mewar. Deogarh houses the 17th century Rajmahal Palace which is adorned with exquisite wall murals. The Anjaneshwar Mahadev Temple in a cave in the hillside is another interesting place. Further, you would be driven to the tiny town Kanota nearby Jaipur. On arrival the time is free for your independent activities.
Day 17. Kanota - Agra (220 Kms)
Today, you will be driven to Agra, enroute visiting the erstwhile Mughal capital Fatehpur Sikri which remained so till only 14 years and was later abandoned. The spectacular red sandstone buildings like the Panch Mahal, Jama Masjid, Sheikh Salim Chisty Dargah, etc are highlights of this town. Later, resume your drive to the city of Taj.
Day 18. Agra - Delhi (204 Kms)
Get the mesmerizing view of the wondrous monument- the Taj Mahal in the morning when the entire monument glitters in red-orange hue with the first rays of the sun. The entire city boasts of the Mughal legacy and is dotted with numerous monuments of Mughal period like the Tomb of Itmad-ud-daula, Mehtab Bagh, imposing Agra Fort, Sikandara and many more. Leave for Delhi in the evening from where you will board the flight back home.
