This tailor made tour lets you explore the two strikingly distinct regions of the exquisite land named India. On one hand the desert land of Rajasthan will acquaint you with the opulent palaces and the massive forts hinting about the lives of the royals on the other hand Kerala will be like a breath of fresh air with lush green surroundings and scenic beauty which will revive your senses.
Day 1. Arrive in Delhi
On your arrival at the Delhi International airport you will be greeted by our agent who would be in your service up till your stay in Delhi. From the airport you would be escorted to the hotel where you can relieve yourself from jet lag. If time allows you would be driven around the bustling markets to have a look into the lifestyle of the locals.
Day 2. In Delhi
This morning you will explore the heart of India beginning from Old Delhi visiting the largest mosque in India- Jama Masjid and the Red Fort which was the residence of rulers of Mughal dynasty. A walk through the narrow lanes of Chandni Chowk will expose you to various street delicacies, extremely popular in Delhi. Your sightseeing tour also will include places like Qutub Minar and Humayun’s Tomb which till today carry the Mughal legacy.
Day 3. Fly to Agra
On this day you will continue your journey and board the flight to Agra. On arrival in the city you will be chauffeured to the hotel where the afternoon would be spent at leisure. Get the mesmerizing view of the wondrous monument- the Taj Mahal in the evening when the sun is about set and the entire monument glitters in red-orange hue. Late come back to the hotel for a cosy overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4. In Agra
Begin your day with delicious breakfast at the hotel and later visit the highlights of the city. Agra have been, for several years, the capital of the mighty mughal dynasty and hence the entire city boasts of the mughal legacy and is dotted with numerous monuments like the Tomb of Itmad-ud-daula, Mehtab Bagh, imposing Agra Fort, Sikandara and many more. Our guide will acquaint you with the historical significance of the places you will visit.
Day 5. Drive to Ranthambore (293 km)
This morning you will be driven to Sawai Madhopur. On the way you will visit the erstwhile Mughal capital Fatehpur Sikri which remained so till only 14 years and was later abandoned. Spectacular red sandstone buildings like the Panch Mahal, Jama Masjid, Sheikh Salim Chisty Dargah, etc are highlights of this town. Later resume your drive to Ranthambore having a glimpse of rural life of Rajasthan on the way. Upon arrival in Ranthambore you will be transferred to a jungle resort for overnight stay.
Day 6. In Ranthambore
This morning leave the hotel for adventurous jungle safari in the Ranthambore National Park which is home to wide variety of flora and fauna. Numerous bird and animal species like deer, sloth bear, leopard, shy caracal and of course tigers can be sighted here amidst the dry deciduous forest. Followed by the thrilling ride, you will visit the massive Ranthambore Fort and the ancient Trinetra Ganesh Temple situated in the fort.
Day 7. Drive to Jaipur (180 km)
The beautiful capital of the state of Rajasthan- the Pink City Jaipur would be your next spot in the journey. Upon arrival you would be chauffeured to a fine heritage hotel where you can have a taste of royalty in your two days stay.
Day 8. In Jaipur
Jaipur holds in its heart the royal legacy of the Rajputs rulers. In your full day sightseeing tour you will visit the formidable Amer Fort situated on a hilltop offering panoramic view of the entire city. This magnificent fort comprises of courtyards, balconies and palaces like Sheesh Mahal which provide an insight about the extravagant lifestyle of the Rajput rulers. The Jantar Mantar observatory, Hawa Mahal, Jal Mahal, Albert Hall Museum are the other gems of the city which draws innumerable tourists. Stroll down the bustling streets of Jaipur stuffed with indigenous crafts, textiles and other items.
Day 9. Fly to Udaipur
Rise early and board the morning flight to Udaipur. This marvelous city dotted with hills, palaces and lakes seem like a fairytale town. Upon arrival you would be transferred to a heritage hotel with calming view of the Lake from your luxurious suite. The evening is at your leisure whereby you can stroll down the markets and explore the city at your own pace.
Day 10. Udaipur
Udaipur offers natural beauty with a touch of history which draws several tourists from across the seas to this city. The exquisite City Palace which is largest in Rajasthan, resting on the banks of Lake Pichola is the site that will lure your heart. The Palace is largest in Rajasthan and is adorned with beautiful paintings, frescos and inlaid glass work which is quite amusing. The 17th century Jagdish temple, Saheliyo Ki Bari, Fatehsagar Lake and the Eklingji temple are few other places popular among tourists in Udaipur. A sumptuous dinner at Jag Mandir, a sprawling palace situated at the centre of the lake would mark a perfect end of the evening.
Day 11. Fly to Cochin
Rise early and board the morning flight to Cochin. Upon arrival after freshening up at the hotel, head to explore Cochin also referred as Queen of Arabian Sea. The city houses one of the finest harbors which even attracted the colonists and it was one of the first sites to be colonized. Take a guided tour of the city and visit the historic Fort Kochi, the Mattancherry Palace, Paradesi synagogue, St. Francis Church and see authentic Chinese Fishing nets- all these places hold immense historical wealth which you will discover.
Day 12. Cochin – Munnar (135 km)
This morning embark on a scenic drive to Munnar- a popular hill station situated amidst the plush green Nilgiri Hills. Upon arrival you will be escorted to a hill resort offering amazing view of the valley. The pleasant weather of Munnar and the picturesque beauty made Munnar a popular colonial retreat.
Day 13. In Munnar
Get up early and stroll down to the fragrant tea estates rejoicing in the pleasant cool climate. Return to the hotel for breakfast and proceed to explore the highlights of the city. Besides the plantations you will also visit the Munnar Tea Museum, Rose Garden, Christ Church, Eravikulam national park, etc followed by which you will return to the resort for a cozy overnight sleep.
Day 14. Munnar – Allepey (172 km)
This morning you will head to Allepey to witness the amazing backwaters of Kerala. In Allepey, your accommodation will be arranged in a rustic lake view hotel where you can enjoy the view of the shimmering Lake Vembanad. Dedicate the day for some health sessions like yoga and spa treatments which would be a treat for your soul.
Day 15. Day cruise of Allepey
On this day, get ready for an exquisite experience of staying in a houseboat. You will cruise through the serene palm fringed backwaters of Alleppey. Spend the entire day relaxing amidst the pictorial nature and zooming through the rural life while cruising in the houseboat. Relish the authentic South Indian meals cooked and served onboard.
Day 16 & 17 Mararikulam (14 km)
This morning you will depart for beach village of Maraikulam where you will enjoy a two days stay. A luxurious resort with its own private beach will be your abode for two days. Day 18. Drive to Cochin (42 km)
